Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 17, 2025
Overview
Borg is an open-source desktop application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data We Collect
Borg runs entirely on your local machine. We do not collect, store, or transmit your source code, file contents, or terminal sessions.
If you join our waitlist or download page, we may collect your email address solely for the purpose of notifying you about platform availability.
Third-Party Services
Borg orchestrates third-party AI coding agents (such as Claude Code, Opencode, and Codex). When you use these agents through Borg, your interactions are governed by their respective privacy policies. Borg does not intercept or store the data exchanged between you and these services.
Local Data
All project files, git worktrees, and configuration data remain on your device. Borg does not send any of this data to external servers operated by us.
Analytics
We do not use analytics or tracking tools in the Borg desktop application. The website may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand page traffic.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
